Prof. William J. Keenan
Dr. William Keenan is a Neonatologist at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon’s Children’s Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. He is a member of the SLUCare physician group. He is also a Professor of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Dr. Keenan has special interests in determinants of participation in prenatal care, determinants of hypoxemia episodes of NICU patients, and NICU predictors of long-term outcomes. He also provides neonatal intensive care and consultation services.
Dr. Keenan conducts exemplary education, performs a wide variety of productive research and provides support for individual faculty members. He works for a regionalized program of education that helps direct the professional energies of perinatal providers to the most effective care patterns. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, International Pediatric Society, and the Survive and Thrive Global Development Alliance.
